Torino Olympics 2006 was the highlight of my career with Finnish National Team Leijonat… representing my country has always been a priviledge. I’ve felt so much pride wearing Finnish National Team jersey. Our line was amazing in Torino… playing with Lehtinen & Koivu was so enjoyable and easy… I have always believed in chemistry… with Jere & Saku we had something really special… we had it all… We beat Russia in semifinals 4-0… I consider it as the best game ever for Finland.. They called it a dream Final… Finland vs. Sweden… We just came a bit short… of course silver felt disappointing at first… we had such a great team… but all respect to Swedish team… they were 3-2 better in a Final Game… they deserved to win. Torino Olympics had a huge impact for the rest of my career… it kept me hungry… I still wanted to win something big… I had an honor to play in 6 Olympic Games… last one in Sotshi as a Captain… so many great memories… so grateful for all of the moments in Olympic Games!!!
